Whether we are a leader, manager, or individual employee or we are a practitioner who coach and/or mentor, the lens we apply to information, situations, and people impact the outcome of our work with our stakeholders.  As the world becomes increasingly global and multi-cultural, our ability to see the world, to interact with others, and to make decisions require that we continue to be inclusive and diverse. What does true diversity and inclusion mean, and regardless of our role in society, how does that translate into behavior?

As coaches, our clients depend on our ability to be objective and bias-free in our feedback, advice, and perspectives; as managers and leaders, their daily role is to influence and guide their peers and teams to goals and objectives that are in the best interest of their organisations or individual development. As organisations, they consistently strive to ensure that their recruitment and employee policies are as inclusive as required and intended. In theory, this sounds ideal. In practice, can everyone carry out true inclusion?  What does judgment, bias, and assumption-free behavior look like and how do we, as organisations, coaches, and leaders adopt such skills towards an inclusive world?
