Registering for sessions

Registering for sessions. There are three types of sessions at the conference: 1) parallel speaker sessions (five at any one time), 2) plenary sessions to open and close the conference, and 3) networking sessions (before and after each speaker session).  It’s very important that you register for your sessions.  Why?  Well, firstly on some sessions spaces are limited so it’s first come first served. Secondly, our speakers are keen to get an idea of how many they will have attending (0-700 is a possibility and will make a huge difference as to the type of session they prepare and how interactive they can be).  And finally we can see whether you’ve registered or not and if you haven’t registered for anything we might come to the conclusion that you haven’t seen/read this email – so we might contact you to make sure you know how to access the conference J.  We’d hate to be inundated with 700+ emails/calls on 1 June from delegates all asking ‘how do I access the conference’ not least because it will delay your access and you might miss all or part of some sessions.

Which sessions can I access/register for? If you have booked all 3 days of the conference, or day 1, day 2, or day 3, then you will have access to ALL the sessions being run for the days you have booked.  If you have booked singular sessions (i.e. not whole days) you will be able to access to the sessions you’ve booked.  If when accessing the registration site you don’t see a session or sessions that you expected to see please contact us so we can sort this for you.  If you would like to add additional sessions/days to your conference booking you can do that here https://virtual2020.emccconference.org/bookings/

So how do I register for my sessions?  Go to https://join.emccconference.org/Use the email that you booked the conference to login to the site.

If you’ve been to a previous EMCC conference then your password will be the same as for the conference app.  If you’ve forgotten your password, or you’ve not been to an EMCC conference before, use the forgotten password feature.  If you’ve forgotten which email you used to book the conference, don’t worry, contact us (email administrator@emccglobal.org or use the chat facility on our websites).

Once you have logged in you will be able to register for your sessions.  To help you choose your session you can click on each individual session entry which will open a new webpage and give you more information about that session’s content, a short bio of the speaker(s), the speaker(s) photos, and in most cases a short video (20-30 seconds) introducing the session.  Read the session outlines – some speakers are asking delegates to read something beforehand or have certain items available to them during their session.  This information is in the session outline.

What if I change my mind and want to attend a different session?  No problem.  At any time you can log back into the ‘join’ page https://join.emccconference.org/.  Unregister for the session you’ve chosen and choose another one.  You can do this at any time, even just before a session starts.  But, the sooner you do choose and register the easier it will be – for us the conference organisers and for the speakers.
